Duraseal was
contracted to apply a liquid rubber coating to five multi-plate
iron train tunnels on site. This waterproof coating is of great
benefit to the tunnels in cyclonic conditions. The coating was
applied using specialised pumping equipment along with boom lifts
required for access to all exposed external sides of the tunnel.
The coating was then inspected and tested before a layer of geo
fabric was installed over the coating to protect it from damage
when back filling.
